  • Encase pillows and mattresses in special dust mite-proof covers
  • Use a dehumidifier to keep humidity levels low

In addition, a doctor may prescribe medications such as antihistamines to reduce the symptoms of the allergy and/or corticosteroids to reduce inflammation.
