Tylosine is a bacteriostatic macrolide antibiotic and feed additive used in veterinary medicine. It has a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive organisms and a limited range of Gram-negative organisms. Tylosine is produced as a fermentation product of Streptomyces fradiae.
